Meet Our Staff

Administrative Staff

Rebecca McCuller, Directress. Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree in Child Development and Education. She completed the Montessori Pre-Primary Teacher Certification program in 2000 and has her Directors Credential and an AS in Early Childhood Education. Prior to opening the school in June of 1999, Rebecca worked as the Director of The International Network For Children And Families and President of INCAF Publications, an International educational support group to parents and educators throughout thirteen countries. Rebecca is CPR/First Aid certified.

Tammy Parnell, Assistant Director. Tammy has been with our school since 2005. Prior to becoming the Assistant Director, Tammy worked in both the Infant/Toddler and Beginner's Classrooms. She has her CPR/First Aid Certification, Director's Credentials and has her National CDA.


Infant/Toddler Teaching Staff

Ms. Kesava, Infant/Toddler Teacher. Kesava has been working with our Infants and Toddlers since 2007. She is currently CPR and First Aid Certified and completed her Montessori Teacher Certification Training in the Spring of 2009.

Ms. Natacha, Infant/Toddler Teacher. Natacha is currently enrolled in college and has received a Certificate of Community Advocacy from the University of Florida. She is CPR/First Aid Certified and has been working with children as a volunteer as well as a teacher.


Beginners Teaching Staff

Ms. Misty, Beginners Teacher. Misty has been working with us since December of 2007. She is a CNA and is currently enrolled at SFC working towards a degree in nursing. Misty is CPR and First Aid Certified and has a daughter named Emily. Misty is completed her Montessori Certification Training in the Spring of 2009.

Ms. Heidi, Beginners Teacher. Heidi has been a part of the school for three years as a parent. She joined us as a teacher in August of 2008. Heidi is enrolled in the 45 hour Teacher Certification course and is CPR and First Aid certified.


Preprimary Teaching Staff

Ms. Angie, Preprimary 3's Teacher. Angie has more than 12 years of teaching experience. She has her National CDA Certificate and is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is Mom to three children. Her youngest child Jessie attends our Infant/Toddler program. Ms. Angie joined our teaching team in the Summer of 2008 and will begin working on her Montessori Certification in January 2009.

Ms. Hannah, Preprimary 2's Teacher. Hannah joined the Spencer House in October of 2008. She graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Special Education and an Masters in Early Childhood Education. She is CPR and First Aid certified. Hannah enjoys the outdoors, photography, and lighthouses.

 


VPK Teaching Staff

Ms. Roberta, VPK/Primary Teacher. Roberta is an AMS certified Montessori instructor for ages 3 to 6 with over 15 years of experience. Prior to coming to work with us during the 2004-2005 school year, Roberta spent 4 years at Martha Manson Academy as a preschool teacher and 8 years at Millhopper Montessori school, both in Gainesville. Roberta is CPR/First Aid certified.

Ms. Carol K, VPK Teacher. Ms. Carol is an AMS Montessori certified instructor with 15+ years of teaching experience. Ms. Carol joined us during the summer of 2009.

Ms. Carol G, VPK Teacher. Carol has 20 years of teaching experience. She holds her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and is certified Kindergarten through Second grade. She has her 40 hour Teacher Certification through the State of Florida. Carol is CPR/First Aid certified. Carol completed her Montessori Teacher Certification Training in the Spring of 2009.


Afterschool Teaching Staff

Ms. Donna, Afterschool Coordinator. Donna has 20 years of teaching experience both in the public school system and in private schools. Donna has her National CDA AS in Early Childhood Education. She is scheduled to complete her Montessori Certification Training in the Spring of 2009.

Ms. Rachel, Infant/Toddler Teacher. Rachel has been working with our Infants and Toddlers since the Spring of 2008. She is currently CPK and First Aid Certified and is scheduled to complete her Montessori teacher Certification Training in the Spring of 2009.

Ms. Nancy, Afterschool Teacher. Nancy joined our school in August of 2007. She is currently a student at Lake City Community College in the Early Childhood Education program. She is CPR and First Aid certified.

 


Specials Teaching Staff

Stacey Criccio, MS, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist. Stacey has her Masters Degree in Pediatric Occupational Therapy. Each week she works with the children on activities to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and general school/development skills. Stacey is also part of our line of defense along with the teachers to identify children with developmental delays who may need the help of a specialist. Learn more about Occupational Therapy...
